Established in 1940, the Mt Prospect Twilight Golf League is one of the longest continuously running golf leagues in the area. Playing at the newly renovated Mt Prospect Golf Club, this 9 hole league offers its members an appealing mix of competitive, fun, and friendly golf.
League members choose to play Monday or Tuesday for an 18 week regular season plus two weeks of playoffs. League play starts in early April and running through late August. Each night has 12 teams of 4 flighted members. Each week a team matches up with another team for flighted 1:1 matchups using league handicaps. Points are awarded in each match for both match and stroke play, and a bonus point is awarded to the low individual net and low team net total making each matchup worth 10 points a week.

Q: Do I need an official USGA handicap?
A: No. We do not use official USGA handicaps for league play. All handicaps are determined from league scores only.
Q: Can I sign up as a substitute player?
A: Yes alternate players are welcomed and encouraged. Alternates can choose to play Monday, Tuesday, or both.
Q: Do I play two nights a week?
A: Regular players play one night or the other. Each night plays separately but with the same rules and format. At the end of the season we have a league championship match pitting the Monday champion against the Tuesday champion to crown an overall league champion.
Q: How much are league fees?
A: League fees for regular players are $105 a season which includes a banquet at the end of the year and a prize table. Alternate fee is $50 and another $50 if you choose to attend the banquet. All players are responsible for paying greens fees before each round.
Q: What time do we play?
A: The league sends teams off both the first and tenth tees beginning around 4:20. Players must be at the course by 5:00 or the match is forfeited (5:15 if you call first).
